Bicycle Cafe is hosting their 2nd annual "Intro to Bike Maintenance" clinic for BIPOC, 2SLGBTQI+, and adaptive cyclists, and women and Soul of Miistaki will be collaborating with them.
The bike industry hasn't always thrown open its doors in order to make sure everyone who wants to have some pedal-powered fun feels welcomed and empowered. We are hoping to help break down one of the barriers to entry; understanding how our bikes work and what we need to do when they stop working.
This clinic will leave you with a basic understanding of pre/post-ride bike maintenance, the knowledge required for common trailside breakdowns.
We are here to help answer my questions and are stoked to share our experiences from within the industry, as well as being open to feedback for how we can grow to better support all riders.
Date: March 7th, 21st & April 18th.
Time: 7pm-9ish
Location: Bicycle Cafe Canmore, AB
Cost: $20.00 (All proceeds will go to Soul of Miistaki with their mission to create connections to the traditional lands of Indigenous people through movement, personal growth, and inclusive access to outdoor activities).
